The other night, I went out to support a wonderful organisation called Little Kids Rock. Essentially, they raise money and awareness for kids who, for one political reason or another, cannot afford musical instruments. Now, if they were soldiers…?
Our teachers are underpaid, overworked and taken for granted. A creative culture will always outlast a military one. Guitars or tanks… what do you think?
These kids are astonishing. They love and support each other. Creative and generous. They played their asses off for a crowd used to great performances. Such brilliant innocence. Little Kids Rock made me feel like a little kid, like that enthusiastic charge one gets from falling in love for the first time.
Inspiring, to say the least. Find out how you can support the Little Kids Rock Foundation at http://www.littlekidsrock.org
