MLK in his final speech before being cut down by the dark side of the system said, “I have reached the mountain top. I fear no man.”
He lived with the certainty he would be assassinated. That is a messianic act of courage and conviction. He died for what he believed in. He led a movement. It’s participants of which were beaten, savaged by dogs, violated, segregated and treated like animals. The odds of victory were impossible, yet he, his legacy, commitment and memory achieved so much.
Still we face bigotry and man’s inhumanity to man. Almost “free at last” my friends… almost. With your conviction and pragmatic stance of solutionism, one day we will all meet on the mountain top.
